KNITTING CLASSES

 

Start Knitting Now!

This 2 hour workshop is free when you buy two skeins of yarn and needles – we will cover all the basics you need to make a basket weave scarf.
Prerequisites: none.
Saturday 2 – 4:30 Nov 14 or Dec 19.
Free with purchase of materials.
 

Introduction to the art of Knitting

Over three weeks we will cover all the basics plus discuss some of the finer points of knitting including reading patterns, gage, and fixing mistakes.
Prerequisites: Cast on, knit and bind off.
Thursdays 6:00 – 7:30 Dec 3, 10 & 17
$45 plus materials

SPINNING CLASS

Drop Spinning for Beginners

Learn to use a drop spindle to make your own yarn. Prepare your roving, spin and ply your own yarn! Saturday 2 – 4:00 November 28 $30 includes 3 types of roving samples to try
 

FELTING CLASSES

 

Introduction to Wet Felting

 Get your “feet wet” with this introduction to two methods of wet felting – we will be felting bars of soap to either give as a gift or to keep for yourself. Prerequisites: None. Saturday afternoon 2 – 4:30 November 7. $30 plus materials.
 

Introduction to Needle Felting

Learn the basics of needle felting and leave with all you need for hours of needle felting. Prerequisites: None. Two different sessions: Thursday morning November 12 at 10:00 – 11:00 or Thursday evening November 19, 6:00 – 7:00 $20 includes foam, needles & roving!
 

Felted Ornaments

Get away from the hustle & bustle of the holidays to spend an afternoon playing with wool! Prerequisites: None. Saturday 2:00 – 4:00 December 12 $30 plus materials
